When I wrote The Money Tree, my goal was to reveal the spiritual side of money and wealth. I wrote the story as a parable, because the lessons embedded in the story apply to anyone who struggles with money.
My hope is that as you read about Camille, the young woman who is trapped by her anxiety and worries, you may see yourself in her journey. As Camille slowly learns how to forgive and release the past and reconnect to the constant source of love inside, her deeper wounds are healed.
It’s almost as if you become the alchemist using an ancient formula of energetic transformation.

In today’s podcast, I read the part where Flow, the Money Tree, first meets Rumi, Camille’s dog. I always include dogs in my stories, because I find them to be more aware of happiness in the present moment than I am. I named this dog after the 12th Century poet, philosopher, and scholar, because his words still hold truth for us today.
There are several Rumi quotes in the book, but my favorite is:
Live life as if everything is rigged in your favor. - Rumi
Imagine what your life would look like if you believed this statement?
What are you called to do that your mind and ego argue against?
Who are you becoming in this moment?
Where do you play small when your heart wants you to play big?
These are just some of the questions to ask yourself. Spend some time alone with a journal and pen, and allow the answers to flow. Use your breath to stay present. When your mind chimes in with judgment and criticism, allow those thoughts to flow past.
You are here to do sacred work. Money is part of that journey.
