Your focus may have shifted from your inner world to your outer world. It’s hard to remember who you are when the world is screaming a different message.
Fear is an illusion but it feels real, because our bodies react to our thoughts. When you think fearful thoughts, your body’s defensive system kicks in and your perspective narrows to flight, fight, or freeze. None of these options require going within and verifying their authenticity. Instead, because of how your emotions and physical body feel aligned, it convinces you that it’s real.
