Women of Wealth Lift Up Others

Are you ready to join us?

Hello Wealth Tablers!

Kimberly and I (Kathryn) are excited about this episode of The Wealth Table.

Women have more opportunities and power to accomplish change than at any other time in history. We are more educated, skilled, and passionate about effecting change in the world, but there’s a problem.

  • Women are five times more likely to live paycheck to paycheck then men.

  • Women graduate with more student loan debt than men and are paid 20% less for the same job.

  • Women tend to view money through an emotional lens and either abuse, avoid, and ignore their finances.

Have you ever fallen into any of these traps? Take heart, there is a way out.

What to do next

The first step is always awareness. Until you identify the pattern of behavior that sabotages your bank account, nothing different will ever happen.

Understand that you may have emotional issues with money. Or you may have old stories that create terrible decisions. But just because you have spent your paycheck on that new pair of shoes and now you’re broke until payday isn’t a reason to give up.

Instead, become the observor in your life. Create a Note in your phone and log every item you buy from an emotional state. No judgment, no shame. Just record it for a week. Also notice what the trigger was for the purchase.

After one week, look at your entries. Do you see any patterns? Are the triggers the same?

Now, create a new choice for each pattern or trigger. For example, if you tend to buy unnecessary items when you are bored, make the decision that the next time you feel bored, you are going for a walk instead. By the time you get back to your house, the feeling of boredom will be gone (and it didn’t cost anything).

As you discover your money leaks, you will recover money that you can use to pay off credit cards. Make it a self-propelling cycle of finding the leaks, stopping the behavior, and having the money begin to work for you.

When Women Are Wealthy, Good Things Happen

When women are wealthy, we tend to give back more to our communities. We tend to nurture others and generously fill the needs of the world.

Melinda Gates wrote a book called, “Moment of Lift.” She has helped women around the world and she discovered a valuable lesson. As she stated in her book,

“How can we summon a moment of lift for human beings – and especially for women? Because when you lift up women, you lift up humanity.”

Notice when you feel wealthy. Do you tend to give more to others or look for ways to help? Does that expansion seem to add more to your world?

That’s exactly why we created The Wealth Table - to help you become wealthy in mind, body, spirit, and finances.
