Dear Empowered Wayer:
Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️
I wanted to be the first to wish you light and love. Of course, I wish you light and love every moment of your life, not just on Valentine’s Day.
But do you wish yourself the same thing? There is a part of you that is infinite, endless, and connected to a higher power. I call it Divine Love, but you can name it whatever works best for your.
Divine Love is part of your nature. When you were a baby, you were 100% Divine Love. As you grew and developed a personality, you may have lost touch with the essence of you. Now is the time to find it again.
When you tap into self-love, you connect to your Self.
Mirror Work is one way to love yourself
Have you ever looked in the mirror and said, “I love you” while staring deeply into your eyes? This is a powerful exercise I first learned from Louise Hay. She recommends a daily practice of mirror work, so I decided to try it.
I stood in front of my bathroom mirror for 3 minutes, staring into my eyes. I told myself, “I love you” and “I see you.” I repeated this practice for 21 days, and was about to quit when something happened.
One morning, I was in the middle of saying, “I love you” when a feeling of pure joy rose up in my body. I hadn’t felt this powerful energy in a long time, and at first, I wasn’t sure what to name it.
It was such a surprise that I allowed it to flood my body. My mind stopped questioning what was happening and I became joy. I looked at my face in the mirror and all the frown lines disappeared. I could almost see a light glowing behind my eyes.
I had met my Self. My higher being. My essence.
Now that I have met her, I talk to her all the time. Sounds crazy, but it works.
Let me know when you try the Mirror Work exercise. You never forget when you meet your Self for the first time.
Blessings,
Kathryn
Look in the Mirror and Say, "I love you."
Love this idea - and how the repetition turned it into something you might not have been expecting!
